Keith started his career as a building apprentice. We won’t say how long ago; he doesn’t like being reminded. After several years building, and a back injury, he furthered his career studying to gain a Diploma in Construction Management, NZ Certificate in Quantity Surveying and NZ Certificate in Building.
In 1999, after managing his own building companies, he was offered a role as a Building Inspector for the Nelson City Council and was later appointed to the position of the Inspection Supervisor. In 2006 he left that role to set up ASAP Building Inspections Ltd as a building consultancy service. He continues to be the active inspector and report writer - this is the person who will carry out your inspection. Keith has served on the board of BOINZ (Building Officials Institute of New Zealand).
